Articles of Faith

1. We believe in one true and living God, and that there is a trinity of persons in the Godhead, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and yet there are not three Gods but one only.

2. We believe that the Scriptures are the word of God, both Old and New Testaments, and the only rule of faith and practice.

3. We believe in the fall of Adam and that by his fall and transgression all his posterity fell and was made sinners. We believe in the corruption of human nature and the impotency of man to recover himself by his own free will and ability..

4. We believe sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the righteousness of Jesus imputed to them, and that good works are evidence of our gracious state.

5. We believe the saints shall preserve in grace and not one shall finally be lost..

6. We believe there will be a resurrection of the dead and a general or universal judgement, and that the happiness of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be eternal.

7. We believe the visible Church of Christ is a congregation of faithful men and women who have obtained fellowship with each other and having agreed to keep the rules of discipline according to the rules of the Gospel..

8. We believe that Jesus Christ is the great Head of the Church, and that the Government thereof is with the body.

9. We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper and Washing the Saints feet are church ordinances enjoined by the Gospel, to be observed by the Church until His second coming.

10. We hold that true believers are the only proper subjects of Baptism and that immersion is the only Gospel mode.

11. We believe that none but regular Baptized members have the right to commune at the Lord’s table.

12. We believe that Sunday (a day set apart by law) ought to be observed as a day of worship, and that no work of a worldly business ought to be transacted, except works of piety, mercy, and necessity only.
